GOLDEN BRAVE HEART

A brave heart, a heart of gold, are phrases I like. To combine these, I have painted a Golden Heart. When I expressed my wish to superpose a canvas frame onto a wooden base, I was told, ‘nobody does that!’ Now that was like having a red flag waved in front of a bull… I set about creating this double layed painting straight away. It has been framed with a gold frame to set off the brave golden heart and show off my fascination for the black papyrus effect background. I started painting on wood when I was Jeffrey Pratt’s assistant in the UK. He taught me to be brave and believe in myself, following my own path.
